Getting the gear together- Day bag

As we are heading hiking soon to Lapland on our holiday it makes sense to use the time there to test the gear.

Got the boots and poles so bought the day bag also from sale along with rain cover and small pouch for phone. We do have porters who will carry our “big” back, but we ourselves carry our day bags which should contain to my understanding water, snacks and anything else needed during the day.

I know I drink a lot of water so must test to carry at least 6-7 kilos I think. We shall see how it goes.

Just wondering about all of these strings and hidden little ribbons and loops what are they all for? Any tips and hints are welcome!

There was no “instruction manual” so I guess I will need to learn along the way or simply… google it!
